49. I'm another one of the 'lifers' that don't get the emails anymore, and subsequently was charged for my 'season ticket'. I've also noticed that the rumors are becoming fewer and farer between. Granted this is the 'slow' time, but, 24 hours between posts is getting a litte silly for a 'rumors' website.

45. I had the same problem as the person who wrote #44.
I got a few emails when I paid $10 (during the lockout) as a "last chance to be an insider for life! Only $10!" promotional subscriber. After like a week I stopped receiving emails and all my attempts at contacting this Klessel person, failed. I was actually talking to some other person briefly, but I had no idea who he was. He worked for/on the site but was not Klessel. I never heard anything back from that exchange either. So much for Insider for life; empty promises and lies is what it turned out to be.

Here is my deleted thread.
There is a debate right now as to which benefits Insiders would enjoy for life. As you probably know, Insiders are those who supported Eklund from Day 1, back in the end of 2004. At one point our support was needed, and for 10$ you would become an Insider. For life.
Now Eklund came up a year ago saying that most benefits would remain for the 2005-2006 season, but that we would need to become a Season Ticket Holder like everybody else the season next (2006-2007). We would still receive the email updates for free, for life.
When some people, like myself, pointed the fact that being an Insider was never only about receiving free emails, we were told that we were wrong.
Personnally, the money is not the problem. I'd be glad to support this site nomatter what I get in return. But what I can't accept is being cheated.
I did some data mining this morning and found what Ek posted on the blogger site. Here are some excerpts that will enlighten the debate. I'm not doing this because I want to get in for free. At this point I'm too much disappointed to consider supporting Ek in any way. But I just want to set the record straight about what was said, and then maybe Eklund will admit he screwed up big time.

The access to the website that was sent to you is now available. Interesting conversatiosn with numerous vendors that Dwayne supposedly had contact way back in January are in fact untrue.
Screen shots of the promises Dwayne made are also posted at the website. Take a look, you will certainly be shocked to see Dwayne lied again.

I should have participated in this but I thought I would give him a chance.

35. I heard he was Kevin Greenstien of Inside Hockey. In fact, I know a moderator at HF Boards that proved it using ip adresses , since they both post there, that Eklund was Kevin Greenstien. In fact there is also a link somewhere that shows they have the same voice after someone recorded both of their voices.

Eklund told me to look at this for a good laugh and to respond since he would never even grace such a patch of lies with a real reply from him. These claims are so utterly and completely false that anyone who even sells peanuts a t a hockey game would get a kick out of it. The great lawyer going by the name Grant Mullen does not exist. (his offices are afterall a PO BOX) Eklund is in no way in financial trouble. He has never fired an employee. He has never doubled billed anyone. He is in press boxes all the time.I think it interesting how there are no real names attached to any of these lies. I guess all the best lawyers use post office boxes. Also, class action suits are usually known about by the person being sued. This is just another one of the many, many sites that have sprung up trying to discredit Eklund due to people trying to attach themselves to his fame. This is actually the least impressive to date, and that is pretty hard to do be. Bravo. Were you a real person with a real address you would be sued so fast for liable and slander your head will spin. In fact I would pay Eklund's legal bills for a piece of that action. Especially since there is a new law that states a person can not threaten another anonymously on the internet or they will go to jail. You are not only doing that, you are actually making money selling google ads on a page doing that. And you claim Eklund is fraudulent for actually providing services. If Eklund had any economical troubles you would liberate them pretty quickly. But you would never have the guts to do attach a real name, or real lawyer to your claims. So either reveal a true name and address. Fortunately shortlist is aware of this law and has logged your ip. Good luck and Eklund should be thanking you for the publicity.

This seems to be a fairly anon site, so I can say without a doubt, Eklund is a fraud, both in his representation and in what he claims to be true.He recently blogged that he was in on of the NHL arenas, in the press box for that matter, and I know he wasn't.
